Ciate Mini Mani Month 2015 swatches

Hi!

I know I'm late, but we all know what they say: Better late than NEVER!.

For all of you who don't know this already I bought 3 advent calenders in October and I patiently (more or less) waited on the 1st of December to start opening the windows.
Today I finally prepared swatches of Ciate Mini Mani Month advent calendar.

I forgot to take better pictures of the calender so I only have this one.

Inside every window there was a mini Ciate nail polish (only in window 24 there was a full size nail polish and on day 9 I got a glass nail file) and a pretty quote that made me feel special or it just made my day.

After all of the 24 days here is the outcome:
Isn't it a nail polish heaven?

What about the polishes?
I must admit! This was my first time at wearing Ciate nail polishes, and I must say I'm really impressed with them! I definitely have to get myself more of them!

Now, here are the swatches of all coloured nail polishes:

hierloom (3 coats)

ahoy sailor (2 coats)

cutie pie (4 coats)

cookies & cream (2 coats) and miracle on 34th (ring finger)

hutch (3 coats)

dangerous affair (3 coats)

dangerous affair and snow globe (1 coat)

prima ballerina (2 coats)

prima ballerina and check mate (1 coat)

shady lady (2 coats, although one would suffice)

 A list (2 coats)

birthday blue (2 coats)

raspberry collins (2 coats)

raspberry collins and purple rain-bow (1 coat over pink)

double bubble gum (2 coats) and chalet chic

pom pom (2 coats)

life's a peach (2 coats)

life's a peach and rom com rouge (1 coat- a full size bottle)

Besides all of the polishes above there was also a few other things in the calendar:
knight in shining armour (nail mask)
bloom boost (nail illuminator)
nail gym (nail hardener)
and a glass file

The verdict:
I'm really happy I bought myself this set. This is probably the best product(s) I bought in the last year. I do hope Ciate will continue with advent calendars, because this one had it all (a little of nail art, nail care, glitter, cremes.... combined with pretty packaging and positive messages).
I do like that the full size bottle is a glitter, because you can use it over anything.
I do like that there are a few nail care products included, so you can try out the mini version before buying the big one.
I do like that there are a lot of different colours and finishes inside (I'm really happy that there is no yellow since I'm not a fan, but I do miss green. But you know what:one can not have it all)
I really do not like the nail file, because it is really small and hard to use (but can be practical on the go).

Did you buy yourself this calendar?

Hehe - 050 stamping plate AKA Lacey LOVE

Lady Queen is an international beauty shop, selling nail art,make-up and tools, jewellery, fashion bags etc. They offer free shipping all over the world. Here is a link to their nail art department where they have tons of nail art related items: stamping plates, glitters, rhinestones, dotting tools, brushes, foils and many other items.

As I mentioned in my previous post I personally think that they offer the biggest selection of nail decalls, but besides that they offer a wide variety of stamping plates. On of those I'll review in today's post.

Today I'm going to present you hehe 050 stamping plate, where it currently costs 2,99$, but with my coupon code you can get if with 15% discount for 2,54$.

Here is a picture of the stamping plate:

Since it is an all over design there is a lot of different options, and you can create many looks with this plate.

Here are some technicalities:

Size of the heart:
width 2,1 cm
height 2 cm

Whole design
width 5 cm
height 5 cm

Inscription (Valentine's day)
width 1 cm
height 1 cm

No protection on the back (lightly sanded edges that are not too sharp)
Light weight
Well engraved
Good transfer to the stamp
Hard peace of metal and can not be bent or broken

My opinion:
I tried 2 different designs with this plate and I had no problems with stamping. The image transferred well, and didn't smudge. I tried to stamp all parts of the plate and I haven't notice any "bad" spots, so I can say that it is really well engraved. Because it is an all over design I had a lot of options in my mind. Because the heart design is too big for my nails I used it a bit differently (as a V shape stamping), This is a big advantage because if you regularly want to stamp this way you have to protect the rest of the nail with a tape or liquid latex. It is relatively cheap comparing to some other stamping plates.

Here are my manicures:

I used BarryM Boots a Bikinni and Konad Black

I used Ciaté Ahoy Sailor and China Glaze Deviantly Daring

I really like how many options this plate offers. you can make a Gothic design with bold colours or something delicate and girly with light colours. I think it is a must for every woman to have this plate in her collection.

For all of my readers Lady Queen offered a coupon code for 15% discount. Use WEXS15 at the checkout.

Advent calendars Day 1 - Day 6

Hi!

I wanted to share this with you yesterday, but my school work is killing me (not to mention that I have poor time management skills, and I'm currently not feeling like writing, because I wrote two seminars in the past 2 weeks).
I want talk a lot, here are pictures of the things I got in my 3 advent calendars from 1st to 6th of December.

 Ciaté advent calendar:
1. hierloom, 2. check mate, 3. pom pom, 4. cutie pie, 5. bloom boost treatment and 6. snow globe
Because these are my first ciaté nail polishes I just had to make a photo session with them. Here is another picutre:

Essence advent calendar:

1. Do you hear the jingle bells? 2. kiss under the mistletoe, 3.add on magic!, 4. north pole princess, 5 see you in my dreams and a nail file shaped in Christmas stocking
Look By Bipa advent calendar:

1. toe separator, 2. top coat, 3. cuticle sticks, 4 Black Night, 5. pink/sliver caviar beads and 6. nail file with loads of pink glitter
I made a simple manicure with hierlom from Ciaté

I applied 3 coats
and used an Ugolki(literal translate is corners) stencil from Rocknailstar with Essie Licorice

I know I'm really late with publishing swatches of polishes I got in my calendars (I do post pictures on Instagram regularly). I do hope I'll swatch them by the middle of January =). I'm thinking of making a blog post for each calendar with all of the swatches. What do you think?

New in October

Hi!

Another month has passed and it is time to show you how many polishes joined my stash this month. I must say that this month I am seriously over the budget, but I think it was worth it!

First I'm going to show you polishes that I got as a birthday gifts:
From my friend Sara (she has an amazing blog if you don't know) I got 4 kiko polishes. Kiko is one of my favourites, because they are really long-lasting on my nails!
no: 29,38, 32 and 20
From my college friends I received a Depend holo. I must say that buying a polish for a nail polish junkie is like a lottery. There is a high possibility that she already has this shade, but they did it! I don't own this one and I LOVE it!
depend 2033

I also went shopping to Graz, thanks to my friend Sara! I bought a lot of nail polish brands that I haven't had an opportunity to try out. I bought:
Essie Set in Stones with free Good to Go (5 mL), Anny private party, Yves Rocher Pivoine nacre, Marionnaud Vert effronte
and
Misslyn smotthie nail polish in Sweet blacberry and yummy cherry, Look by Bipa in Glitter turquise, glitter gold and glitter lilac
and also Look by Bipa advencalendar that you can see in the last picture!

I also did some shopping on Destination Pretty! Finally! I was looking at this store for quite some time and finally decided to make a purchase. I bought these 2 pretties!
Etude House: PPK007 and Sally Hansen Extreme wear Rockstar Pink

And finally! The grand finale! I bought 3 advent calendars! I know I'm crazy, but I couldn't resist any of them. Bipa was my first one and I had to buy it in case if I could not get anyone else (I also like Bipa), next it was Ciate which was a good bargain. With a code( which is sadly not valid any more) I got it for a bit more than 35€. And of course I had to my Essence calendar. Essence was the brand that got me started and I'm still loyal to it. And it never disappoints!

I'm crazy right?
What would you like to see first?
