one of the best shopping experience ever

Hi!

I was supposed to write this post a long time ago, but with my writing speed you know that everything comes with at least one month of delay =). At least I share things with you, this matters too right?

Now, where should I start?

My friend Sara from Passing Fancy got really excited upon Korean brands, so we decided to buy some. Sara found a lovely blog that sells Korean brands and contacted Cristina the blog owner if she ships to Slovenia, and when she said yes, you can imagine how quickly we ended up with a long list of polishes =)

I'll tell you more about lovely Cristina in the end of the post, but first let's take a look at the pictures =)

I bought:
Tony Molly: Shooting star, Milky way and Pinky star

Close up on Pinky star
 and on Shooting star

And Milky way on my nails =)
Don't ask me about how many coats I used, because I forgot, but I assure you that there were at least 3 =)

Next are: Etude House Pettite darling 505, Skin Food Puppy Purple ( this one was chosen by Cristina), Peripera Matallic green ( P019)
Close up on Puppy Purple
and Etude House 505

And these are all bonus polishes I got from Cristina! Can you imagine the look on my face when I saw this polishes!
Etude House pp901, ( I'm not sure what brand is this, but it is a lovely glittery polish with pink hearts =))), innisfree 108 and 97(flakes)

Close up on the flakes:
Can't wait to put it over red polish!

Tried to do a close up on the hearts, but I failed =(

and 108

 And that is not all!
Cristina also included loads of samples! I've been using them all month and I think I'm not close to an end =)

I just love baking powder cleaning foam! It smells divine and does the work wonderfully =)

Now after seeing this lovely polishes you are probably curious where to get these items?

Because this items were bought in a blog shop I decided I'll present this store on a bit more personal level =)
I decided to ask Cristina a few questions that you might be interested in

Here is what she replied to me:

My name's Cristina (aka tadukhipa) ad I'm actually from Romania and I came here 4 years ago as a student. However after 1 year I had to go back home to graduate from university. And while I was there I tried getting korean makeup without bothering my korean friends too much but the sites that were available at the time had super high prices and the shipping was also expensive so when I returned (to get married to my fiance:P) I knew I was going to be here for a long time so I thought why don't I just do the whole blog shop thing.  Actually in the first few months I wasn't even making profit at all but then I met my partner who has been in Korea for 6 years and managed to expande the 'business' and it turned into thecutestmakeup.com
The reason we don't want to do the whole online shop where u just click and add to cart is because we prefer the more human interaction where people know exactly what's going on with their order and what options they have. ^^
My partner has an office around Eehwa station where are tons of cosmetics store and we just get the stuff from there and we pack it in her office/storage room. About shipping I can't really give an estimate because it depends on item (liquid/solid etc), weight, size and shipping options (bubble mailer - cheapest, no tracking, items like sprays, toner etc cannot be shipped with this, 10-14 days, extra fees are usually not the case but it depends by country;  EMS - box, tracking, a bit on the expensive side but the safest and fastest, takes 3-5 days,  only exception is sprays everything else can be shipped by this method;  Surface - box, very cheap, takes 2-3 months however, limited tracking, only exception is sprays everything else can be shipped by this method)
At the moment we only have the blog  www.thecutestmakeup.com  and the facebook page and we also have a twitter account https://twitter.com/thecutestmakeup and a pinterest one too http://pinterest.com/tadukhipa/korean-makeup/ .

I do hope you like this approach =)

Here is my opinion:
This was a very pleasant experience! I had fun looking at her blog and deciding what to choose. With some polishes it was hard to decide, because the pictures are sometimes small and there aren't a lot of swatches on-line  but I think I picked just perfect polishes =). I firstly wanted Lioele Matte nail polish, but it wasn't on stock this is why I decided to trust Cristina's taste in polish and I said to her to send me on Skin Food nail polish of her choice, and you can see that her taste in polish is just amazing! She got me something I don't have and is really beautiful, and I have to admit this is really hard since I probably have like 300+ polishes =). . The only downside of this purchase was the fees. Since it wasn't a purchase in EU, we had to pay about 1$ for a polish more, but I also think it was worth it =). Not to mention I got loads of free things, beautiful free things =).
Did I mention that Cristina got us 5$ discount?

My big haul

As promised I'm going to show you what I bought this week

My first purchase was on Slovenian store ličila.si. They had the last summer action and I got quite a lot of items for free, but about the price I'll tell you later. Here is what I bought:

Sleek: Oh so spacial palette

I've had Sleek Oh so special palette on my WL for more than a year, and since Storm is probably the only MU product I use, I decided to buy this one for me too =). I'm not used to taking pictures of eye shadows so they lack in quality a bit.
Price: 11,95€
Here is a picture without names, I already used some before photographing, because I'm just too curious sometimes =).

What do you think about the colours?

BeautyUK west end girl

This set looked like a great set for fall and I think I was right. The shades are really fall like. Because I already have one set from BUK at home I knew that they are really good and shiny.
Price: 9,95€

from L to R:
BarryM retro: Lady in Red (4,45€), BarryM: Peach Melba (4,45€), BarryM foil: Lilac Limited Edition(6,25€) and BYS: Pink Maniucre( 3,55€)

And the last item!
Beauty UK midnight mix.
I got this one as a gift
I was doing some math in the end of my purchase and I realised that I spend 1,9€ per a polish which is almost as cheap as Essence.

Was it a good bargain?

My second purchase was from Slovenian web store ZaPikoNaI.
Here is what I got:

From L to R:
China glaze: No Plain Jane(8€), China Glaze: Deviantly Daring(8€), Konad Specila polish in pastel pink ( 7,30€), OPI: Dutch Ya Just Love OPI (11€), Orly: Pure Porcelain (5€)

Quite pricey right? But that's just because of the shipping and taxes. I really hate this, but I can't do nothing about it.

I'd like to say a few words about this store. This week I needed a little help with a purchase, because I wanted to gift my friend something special but I don't know nothing about MU, and I sent them a mail asking for help. They were really friendly! They asked their MU artist Petra for advice and she was so kind she sent me a mail with her perfect choices. I'm really grateful for that.

Petra is a great MU-artist that has quite a lot quality videos on YT, they are in Slovenian language, but I think that language isn't a limit when it comes to MU =)
Here is one of her latest MUs:

What do you think about my purchase?
Have you ever had such a lovely experience with a seller?
Which polish would you like to see on my nails first?

Aloha!

This is how I ungraded my sunset gradient!

Like it?
I used:
Essence: Wanna be your sunshine
Essence Under the mistletoe
Essence: Fruit punch
KONAD special black polish
and KONAD m29

I was doing some shopping today. Here is what I bought:

EXPECT SWATCHES PRETTY SOON!!!

Tomorrow at 10 o'clock I have the most important exam this year so pleas keep your finger crossed for me. I really NEED to pass this one =)

Cosmetic fair

This Sunday I went on a cosmetic fair with Passing Fancy( she also has an amazing giveaway). We had a wonderful time, like we always do when we are together =), but the cosmetic fair was a bit disappointing, especially for her, because there wasn't a lot of MU and she likes MU a lot more than nail polishes, but she bought quite a few polishes though =). I was kinda disappoited, because I went there last year too, and there were more brands than this year. I really hope thet there will be more sellers there next year. Though it disappointed me, I still bought a lot of thing =).

Here are the things I bought :

 Tangle Teezer

I must say that I just love this product. It is really gentle to my hair, and since I have wavy hair, it is always difficult to brush them without a single hair brake, but with this product I didn't hear the sound of hair braking even once =))))

5 nail polishes for me
From L to R: Cm Fast drying top coat, Magnetic: Freakin' Violet, Magnetic Spect. stone, Magnetic: Shimmering Silver and CG: TMI

Some thought about my new polishes:
I didn't expect a lot from Cm fast drying top coat, and I was right, it really is crap if I compare it with Essie  G2G, but it is still a bit better then other top coats that aren't fast drying. It also makes my nails really strong. And a funny thing, the lady that sold it to me said it will dry in 1 minute =).
There were a lot of magnetic polishes there, and their normal price is 6€, but there was a special discount so one polish cost 4,65€. I just had to pick up 3. Freakn' Violet is just amazing, and the other 2 are holo and I don't own any holographic polishes like that. .
The last is CG TMI. We were both really surprised to see CG polishes there, because they are not available in Slovenia, except in 1 internet store.  And the second surprise was that the polishes were from OMG collection that was discontinued, and the last surprise was the price 7€, which is definitely not a lot for CG in Slovenia.

Polishes for others
Magnetic: Spect. Stone, Magnetic Freakn' Violet, Magnetic: Powerful Purple
I got the first 2 polishes for Rebecca and the last one is for Ivana.

So what do you think of my new stuff?

Picture spam and the second part of shopping madness

Firstly I'll show you the pictires of my light box as promised. I used this tutorial, which Nihrida published on her blog in this post. It took me about 30 minutes to find a box, cut out the paper on the sides and tape the tracing paper on it. I really didn't bother with the shape of my cuts, because it doesn't matter if the edge is totally straight when taking pictures. So here they are, bad pictures of my light box:

LB ready for action =)

In this picture you can see the table lamps I'm using and the size of the box compared to Meggie

While I was trying to take some pictures of  the polishes I bought, Maggie was there trying to sabotage my attempts. She got busted by my camera.

I was really happy that I finally have a light box, so I had to take some pictures in it. This was the first object that I shoot.

Remember that I felt really bad about a month or two ago, because I wasn't able to take some decent pictures of a frosty polish. I tried again and I know that it isn't the best quality, but it is definitely better than it was back than.

Yesterday I already showed you some pictures of the things that I bought, but  not all of it. I was shopping with my friend Sara, and when we shop together we really have no limits. We called our trip a SHOPPING MADNESS and I really think that it was a madness =).

Here are the polishes that I bought:

From L to R: Layla 12, Alessandro: Green green baby, Alessandro Hotty pink and probably joy:71

I also bought Once Upon a Time from Essence LE: Fairytale

I hope you enjoyed my picture spam =)

P.S. If you haven't noticed I have a pool in the upper right corner. I would really appreciate your honest opinion. =)

Lush haul

Hi, today I have nothing nail related for you. I planned to publish some light box pictures, but I came home late enough that it was too dark to take a decent picture. I'll make some shots of it first thing in the morning. Because I can't publish my LB pictures, I'll show you what I bought in Lush.....

Lemony Flutter a cuticle butter, that everybody's talking about. I was amazed by it the first time I used it. I strongly recommend this butter to all of you

Once a Year massage bar. This one smells amazing =)
My favourite sopas, Rock Star and The Gothmoder

And a face mask, Brazened Honey( I can't wait to try out this one)
This is what I got, and spend a lot money on it, but because it smells divine I don't regret it even a bit.

Do you like Lush products? Which one is your favorite?

All pictures were taken at night in my light box =)
