BarryM vrs. Essence

Today I have a comparison for you, that I did a long time ago. I compared Essence: Break through with BarryM: Bright purple. First I thought they look the same, but when I put the bottles together I saw, that they are quite different, but I had to compare them on my nails. 

Edit:I totally forgot to writhe this down:
Both are two coats, but could get away with only one
Doth dried really fast
I didn't test the wear because I removed it after a took the pictures

I won't describe colors, because I really suck at that, but you can see it for yourselves that they are really different.

Really different right? Does it happen to you too, that you think that polishes look the same, but when you put them together you see, that they are totally different and you need both?

Bright purple

I still don't polish my nails, today was my 9th day, so only 5 days to go =). In the meanwhile I'm gonna show you first BarryM polish that I tried. It is called Bright purple, I applied 2 coats, it applied well. I didn't add TC. Here are the pictures:

I don't have any idea why my light box makes every polish look like it has a satin finish. 
Do you have any idea why?

I'm back

Hi there, I'm still alive, just didn't have energy to write, but I'm back now. 
 I have quite some things to tell you...
I cut my nails down completely last Friday, because something is wrong with ma left hand middle finger, and I also decided I won't polish them for 14 days. In the mean time I will have 3 small giveavays and I will also publish some old pictures of my nails. 

I would also like to say how happy I am, because I have more than 100 followers( I never expected it). Thank you all for your comments, they really make me happy =). 


As I said before I'll have 3 mini giveaways. The fist one is going to open on the 15th, the second on the 20th and the third on the 25th. They will all end on the 29th of January. 
I'm having this giveavays because it is Christmas time and I also have to celebrate my six months anniversary of blogging (January 29th) .

Rock Star

Hi.
Confetti vava voom. 2 coats and B02 with Essence stamp me black .
As you can see, I'm still learning how to use my LB ( the first picture is the most color accurate)











This is a song called Rockstar  from Nickelback, which is one of my favourite bands. (also inspiration for the name of the post)



Though the upper song matches the title of the post, this is the song that I find more manicure appropriate ( I was thinking about this song when making it)
IMO, Pink has some really good song. And I really like her style.
How do you feel about Pink?

I will probably not be posting until Thursday, because I'm expecting a busy week, and I'm already exhausted =).

Calm or Wild ?

Do you wanna know how stupid I am? 
Sure you do =).
I'm not a big fan of word verification ( but I don't mind that some of you have it) , and since I never had to write the verification words when I commented on my blog, I thought that I turned it off, but it was on the whole 4 months. 
So how stupid am I that it took me 4 months to figure this out? 
Yes, I know, pretty dumb... 
Well at least I turned it of now ( I hope so)

To continue with the polish. I wore this polish almost a week ago. It is called Calm/Wild. For those of you who haven't figured it out, I'm talking about a Claire's Mood polish=). I was really happy that Ivana sent this one to me that I can finally play with the color changing polish =). 

Thank you Ivana. 

I applied 2 coats, polish dried quickly with a satin finish, but sadly it didn't last longer than a day and a half.



Here are the pictures:


Pink is for those who are wild and purple is for those who are calm. My hands are really cold, so I guess I'm a calm person =).



 Sadly the polish didn't change the color on the tips differently as on my nail beds. 
And because I wanted to see the color change I had to put my nails into hot water. 
It turned pink and I became wild =)



And then I put my nails into cold water. I was calm again =)


Do you own any color changing polishes?

Picture spam and the second part of shopping madness

Firstly I'll show you the pictires of my light box as promised. I used this tutorial, which Nihrida published on her blog in this post. It took me about 30 minutes to find a box, cut out the paper on the sides and tape the tracing paper on it. I really didn't bother with the shape of my cuts, because it doesn't matter if the edge is totally straight when taking pictures. So here they are, bad pictures of my light box:

In this picture you can see the table lamps I'm using and the size of the box compared to Meggie  



While I was trying to take some pictures of  the polishes I bought, Maggie was there trying to sabotage my attempts. She got busted by my camera.

I was really happy that I finally have a light box, so I had to take some pictures in it. This was the first object that I shoot.


Remember that I felt really bad about a month or two ago, because I wasn't able to take some decent pictures of a frosty polish. I tried again and I know that it isn't the best quality, but it is definitely better than it was back than. 


Yesterday I already showed you some pictures of the things that I bought, but  not all of it. I was shopping with my friend Sara, and when we shop together we really have no limits. We called our trip a SHOPPING MADNESS and I really think that it was a madness =).

Here are the polishes that I bought:

I also bought Once Upon a Time from Essence LE: Fairytale
